And I Doubt My Doubts

Freedom from self is the highest freedom there is.

I’ve always been scared. Scared of the dark, spiders, violence, not being loved, hurting myself and scared that God is not real and does not love me. This fear presents as anxiety, sleepiness, paranoia and distrust. I can live in this fear, it is familiar and strangely comfortable.

Until It isn’t. Like a turtle sticking its head out of its shell, I have to break out of fear spell.

I do this by realizing fear is not real. Fear is just a boogeyman that likes to scare me. As a projection of the ego, fear likes to think it’s protecting me but that is so wrong. The quote today, “And I doubt my doubts” tells me that I need to doubt all the negative fear thoughts I have. Simple but not easy.
