How will I write my story?

Will I be the victim, martyr or hero of my story? When I wake up in the morning, I get to choose how I want to show up for the day. Will I be a martyr and think that I’m responsible for everyone and everything. Will I be a victim and internalize everything and make everything about me or will I be a hero and know that I am responsible for my feelings and my emotions.

Emotional maturity is not easy, but subjecting myself to martyrdom or victimhood is a very small way to live my life. Better to embrace courage, emotional honesty and self love to be my own hero of my own story.

It’s risky to be a hero. It’s scary at times. But, what a wonderful feeling to be standing on your own two feet and being your own best friend. How can you show up as a hero today?
