God, is this idea from you?

I’m trying to improve my conscious contact with God. As I go through the day, I pause when agitated or doubtful, and ask for the right thought or action.
My mind is so busy! Running here and there projecting all kind of scenarios. Lately, through I’ve learned how to meditate. First of all I set aside 20 minutes a day to meditate. I close my eyes, when thoughts come simply let them pass by. Do not dwell, follow or give the thoughts a second chance. If I get a sticky thought then I breathe, I just keep breathing. The thought or thoughts will eventually go away. And at the end of the session I write down or note what impressions I received.
Sounds simple but not easy. Usually I do well but this morning my mind was so busy I simply tried to breathe. The miracle is that during the day, my mind will drift back to my meditation session helping me to be more peaceful.
During meditation and at other times, if I am praying for God’s will, I believe that God will get through to me. It might be through a conversation, music, something I read, my thoughts, or circumstances. I ask God, “God, is this idea from you?” When pondering my thoughts.
So, today, do you have time to meditate? To ponder God’s will for you?
(Thanks to Ala-non for the inspiration)
