There are other things to do besides overthink.
How often my thoughts hijack my brain! The brain worm starts as a negative thought then grows to a full scale storm. Thoughts swirling, rampaging, assaulting my peace, and literally hijacking my brain.
How do I cope, calm the raging brain? One way is to delay my thoughts. First of all, my thoughts are just my frightened ego. So like a parent to a child I talk nicely to my thoughts and say. “My thoughts can wait until tomorrow”. I delay the massive urge to think.
By quieting the thought machine, I can more peacefully go on with my day.
