God will meet you where you are.

At times it’s easy to feel far from God. To feel distant and adrift. During these times it’s common to feel purposeless, I feel like I’m cut off from the branch and don't know where my sustenance is. But that’s not actually true. God meets me where I’m at, always.

To forge this reconnection, all I need to do is breathe through my nose, out through the mouth and know that I am deeply rooted in God. I feel those roots deep, strong, unmoving and supportive. Breathing two or three times, I am deeply inhaling the atmosphere of God.

Next, God never moves away, so another thing I can do is examine my conception of God. My conception is that he is all powerful, all knowing, he doesn't lie, he is loving, kind, trustworthy, creates miracles. He is always present and he is always close to me. He judges fairly, and has plans for my future. Great plans for my future. Why would a God like this choose to be away from me, his beloved child?

Breathing and contemplating are two things I can do to reassure myself that God will meet me where I am.
